A button. A thought. Saved.

Zimple Note catches a spoken thought before it slips away. Press the microphone, say it, and it's kept on your phone, no account needed. Typed notes live right beside it.

The words, when you ask.

A voice note stays a recording until you want it written down. Then Zimple Note reads it once and hands back the words. Ask again, and it finds the appointments in them.

  • Transcribe a recording when you need the words. They're written down in the language you spoke; Zimple Note doesn't translate them.
  • Find appointments picks out the upcoming days and times a note mentions, each with the words it came from.
  • Nothing reaches your calendar until you confirm it on your phone's own calendar screen.

A one-off transcription or search sends that one recording or note, and keeps nothing of it on our servers.

Example notes.

Yours first.

Zimple Note is built to work without us. The account is optional, and so is the cloud.

  • Notes and recordings are saved on your phone first, and work offline.
  • No account needed to start. Notes you write without one are never uploaded or moved when you sign in later.
  • Sync is your choice: turn it on, and your notes follow you to your other phones, recordings included up to your account's storage. The browser version comes later.
  • A recording leaves your phone only when you turn on sync or ask for a transcript.
  • One Zimple account for Home, Money and Note. Delete it, and your synced notes and recordings go with it.

Quick capture, on a button you already have.

Planned

Zimple Note is being built to open its recorder from your phone's own shortcut button. Press it, say what's on your mind, and get back to what you were doing.

iPhoneThe Action button, set to Capture Note.
SamsungA double press of the side button, set to Zimple Capture, on supported phones.

The shortcut opens Note's recording panel. Unlocking may be required, and availability depends on your phone and its settings.

Free to capture.

Everything you need to catch a thought is free. The AI parts come with an allowance, minutes a month and searches a day, and Note Plus is planned for people who talk a lot.

When can I use it?

Zimple Note is in development for iPhone and Android, with a web version to go with it. We'd rather ship it right than ship it fast; the day it's ready, this page will say so.

Meanwhile, meet Zimple HomeThe home inventory app, out today on Android and on the web.
